Terminal Operating System (TOS)
It is a set of computerized procedures and a key part of the supply chain and primarily aims to control the movement and storage of various types of Cargo in and around a Container terminal or Port. It enables you to make better use of your assets, labor and equipment, plan your workload, and get up to the minute information for more timely and cost-effective decision making. Terminal Operating Systems use computers, internet, mobile computers, wireless LANs and Radio-frequency identification (RFID) to efficiently monitor the flow of products in, out and around the terminal and manage cargo, machines and people to enable a seamless link to efficiently and effectively manage the facility.
Warehouse Management System (WMS) is a software designed to support and optimize the day-to-day planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling operations in a warehouse. WMS programs enable centralized management of tasks such as tracking inventory levels and stock locations. WMS systems may be standalone applications or part of an Enterprise Resource Planning.
